Helping Local Businesses Succeed Since 1903

Factory Pipe, LLC
“As a business owner I prefer working with Savings Bank; a locally owned, fiscally responsible institution, providing opportunity for entrepreneurs for over 100 years. They have been more than a bank – they have been a partner. They understand my business needs and the positive impact that, together, we can make for our community.”
In the seventh grade, Ross Liberty started designing and building exhaust systems for two-stroke engines in his parents’ garage. Today, thanks in part to the loan terms and interest rates at Savings Bank, Factory Pipe is a globally competitive high-performance exhaust system manufacturer. When Ross came to Savings Bank with the prospect of turning the old abandoned Masonite site into a new industrial park, the Bank was as excited about the project as he was and as determined to make it happen.

Mark Davis Insurance Agency, Inc.
“A wise business friend once told me that two very important people make a huge contribution to any business – your tax person and your banker. Thanks to Savings Bank our financial needs are always met.”
Mark Davis opened the doors to a very small insurance agency in the early eighties. Two years into Mark’s new venture he found that the business needed a $4,000 loan in order to upgrade the phone system. After being declined by the large national bank next door, Mark approached Savings Bank with his request. This was the beginning of a successful relationship which has continued for more than 30 years. Over the years Mark Davis Insurance Agency, Inc. has grown from a tiny sole proprietorship into a significant insurance provider in Mendocino and Lake Counties.

Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation
“Savings Bank has been a trusted partner for over 35 years! Together we’re providing an opportunity for qualified low-income families to make their dreams of owning a home come true.”
As an established nonprofit housing organization, RCHDC makes a difference in our communities by providing housing for low-income community members. Finding funding partners for affordable housing development is a tough task in California and often times more difficult in rural communities. Savings Bank has been a trusted partner for over 35 years and has assisted RCHDC by providing funding for single family, multi-family and senior housing for low-income community members. Savings Bank has also been a key partner in the Self-Help Homeownership Program. Through this program, qualified low-income first-time homebuyers who do not currently have the resources for a down payment or large monthly mortgage payments can help build their own homes.

New Trend Wireless
“We needed a bank that would understand our needs and be flexible during times of growth. It is wonderful to do business with a bank with employees who actually know your name when you walk in the door! There is a feeling of mutual respect and trust with everyone we have worked with at Savings Bank.”
Ten years ago, with the assistance of a Savings Bank loan, New Trend Wireless purchased a franchise and US Cellular agent store in Willits. Since then their business of providing wireless plans, phones and devices has grown from a mom and pop store to seven locations in Lake, Mendocino and Humboldt Counties. As the business expanded, Savings Bank has been there to help in the form of loans, credit lines and information. Savings Bank has not only helped the business financially, but has taken the time to learn about New Trend Wireless and offer encouragement and helpful advice.

SHAG Salon & Beauty Supply
“Thanks to Savings Bank we were able to buy the building and move our business to our new location on South Main Street in Ukiah. The loan officer guided us through the process of securing the SBA and Savings Bank loans we needed.”
In 2015 SHAG Salon wanted to move to a better location and ideally buy the building. They were interested in a Small Business Association (SBA) loan, but learned that the SBA would only finance a portion of the project. Judy and Jason contacted several banks and credit unions in the area for loan assistance, but found that most had them contact representatives in Santa Rosa or San Francisco. They wanted to work with someone local. Ultimately, SHAG Salon received assistance from Savings Bank, which they had already been doing business with for more than a decade.

Bona Marketplace
“Savings Bank has been here to support me in most of my financial first: my first car, my first home and my first business.”
Leslie Bartolomei, owner of Bona Marketplace, has been banking with Savings Bank for over 40 years. It had been a longtime dream of hers to own a boutique in historic downtown Ukiah while supporting local artists. Starting a business from scratch was scary for Leslie, but with the assistance, support and guidance from Savings Bank she achieved her dream. She is happy to say that the success of Bona Marketplace is largely thanks to Savings Bank.
