Overdraft Protection

Savings Bank of Mendocino County checking account customers may choose to apply for one of the following Overdraft Protection options.

To apply, choose the one that meets your needs then complete and print the form and bring it in to one of the Savings Bank locations listed below.

Automatic Transfer Overdraft Protection

Print Automatic Transfer Application

To help avoid overdraft fees, designate an account to automatically transfer available funds when you don’t have enough money in your checking account by the end of the business day. When this happens, money is automatically transferred from your designated account to cover those items, as long as there are sufficient funds in your designated account. There is no fee to enroll.

Ready Reserve Overdraft Protection

Print Ready Reserve Application

At Savings Bank we understand that simple mistakes happen. That's why we offer a Ready Reserve Overdraft Protection Plan. Based on credit approval, a Ready Reserve Plan will provide you with the funds you need when there is not enough money in your checking account to cover checks or other items presented for payment. When this happens, money is automatically transferred from your Ready Reserve Plan to cover those items, as long as there is sufficient credit available in your Ready Reserve Plan.
